Wow how very true! I am sometimes so amazed at the instructions (or lack of them) in a pattern. I am not a garment sewer, but I did sew garments in Home Ec in High School. Recently I bought a garment pattern, thinking I might give it a go again. However before I even unfolded the tissue, I tried to read the pattern and was totally lost. Needless to say, I put the garment pattern aside, and will stick with my quilting, thank you very much! It is such a shame that Home Ec is not taught anymore, because it is not only the sewing, but the cooking too. Have you ever had someone in the check out line of the grocery store ask you what a #2 size can is?
